Page 3 has: "A MORMON WAR", which includes in part: "Each fresh arrival of intelligence from Utah confirms the reports of preparations by the Mormons to resist the entrance of the United States troops into their Territory, and gives consistency to the opinion that we are on the verge of a Mormon war." The coverage takes three paragraphs and refers to the Mormons as those who are "inspired by a blind religious fanaticism...". See images for details.
An unrelated article on the same page takes nearly a full column and provides details concerning the "California Gold Mines". Yet another article of interest is: "Slavers Captured At Cuba".
Four pages, a bit irregular at the spine due to disbinding, a small piece missing from the lower left corner, minor foxing, overall good condition.
