THE NEW YORK TIMES, May 20, 1928

* Mather, Greene County, Pennsylvania
* Coal mine explosion disaster

Near the bottom of the front page is a two column heading that reads: "155 to 250 Men Trapped in Burning Mine; 20 Bodies Found in Shaft at Mather, Pa." First report coverage on the coal mine 'firedamp' explosion that killed 195 men at Mather, Pennsylvania.
Complete 1st section only with pages 1-26, rag edition, a little irregular along the spine, generally nice.
