March 04, 1841

DAILY NATIONAL INTELLIGENCER, Washington, D.C., March 4, 1841

* President William Henry Harrison
* Day of his inauguration - inaugural
* From the city where it happened - rare

A terrific newspaper for the content found on page 3, which has considerable detail on the plans for the inauguration of William Henry Harrison which happened on the day this newspaper was printed.
The first column is taken up with: "Arrangements For the Inauguration of the President Elect, on the Fourth of March, 1841: with considerable detail. Columns 2 and 3 are nearly taken up with: "THE INAUGURATION" "Order of Procession" along with subheads: "Programme" "Regulations" "Line of March". And also a heading: "Arrangements For the Day".
The considerable detail of the proceedings is not surprising in a newspaper from the nation's capital, and likely not to be found in any other city's newspaper. He would hold office for just one month.
Four pages, great condition.
