NILES' NATIONAL REGISTER, Baltimore, Dec. 6, 1845

 Taking nearly 6 1/2 pages is the: "President's Message" being the annual state-of-the-union address signed in type by: James K. Polk.
The back page has a brief article: "The Mormons" noting in part: "...gives accounts of the 'murder' of another of the 'saints' and additional burnings. They beg piously to be allowed to depart without further molestation. They have sold nearly all their lands and effects in the southern part of their settlements & beg purchasers to come on for the residue...They state that about 2,500 wagons are preparing for the Exodus in the spring."
Sixteen pages, 8 1/2 by 12 inches, nice condition.

As noted in Wikipedia, this title: "...(was) one of the most widely-circulated magazines in the United States...Devoted primarily to politics...considered an important source for the history of the period."
