NILES' NATIONAL REGISTER, Baltimore, Aug. 17, 1839 The front page has a report own: "The Cherokee Troubles". Page 2 has a nice repot on the: "Funeral of The Rev. J. B. Seixas" the rabbi of the Portuguese synagogue Shearish Israel.
The back page has a brief export: "The Mormons" noting: "Some disciples of John Smith have established themselves in the neighborhood of New Egypt, and in other places in Monmouth, N. H. They first appeared thee some six months ago. They have made converts of several persons of some standing and influence; and strange as the story seems, their numbers are increasingly."
Sixteen pages, 8 1/2 by 11 3/4 inches, very nice condition.
