Page 3 has a rather brief yet very early report of bowling, headed: "Ten Pins". It notes: "...of man in that city who made eight ten strikes, and a seven strike with nine successive balls, and that, too, over alleys ninety feet long. His antagonist put on his coat and left him to finish his game by himself."
This is the earliest newspaper report we have found of the sport of bowling in America.
