THE DAY, New London, Connecticut, June 4, 1921
Page 2 has an 8" by 4 1/4" photo: "BIRDSEYE VIEW OF TULSA, WHERE RACE RIOTS KILLED MANY", with a corresponding caption. See images for detail The Sports page has an interesting article regarding the boxer, Abraham Hollanderky, affectionately known as "Abe, The Newsboy", who was about to box Jack Dempsey. Included is the text of a "good luck" letter written to him by Teddy Roosevelt. Nice to have in his hometown paper.
The back page has an article has: "Babe Ruth May Be Sentenced To Jail", "Tilden Wins Hard Court Championship", and "French Women Stars Win World Title" - the last two focused on tennis.
Other news of the day, including another article mentioning Ruth, is found throughout.
Complete in 12 pages, evenly toned, small binding holes along the left spine, but quite good for the era.
