Page 2 has news from America, including: "...steadily pursue the plan lately adopted for carrying on the American war...that he saw & conversed with the deputies from the New England colonies...with Sir Guy Carleton to know what terms had been proposed by this country to Congress & what terms the colonies they represented, were to be offered..." with more, and further on: "...that Gen. Carleton had assured the Loyalists that when the business he was upon was happily brought to a conclusion, they would be safe in their persons & their property; that letters are daily passing to & from him to General Washington & expresses frequently sent to the Congress which make the people at New York think that peace is near at hand."
Another item has a bit of news on the Huddy/Asgill Affair, noting: "...from New York informs us that after a long & impartial trial, Capt. Lippencott, of the associated Loyalists, was found guilty of the murder of Capt. Huddy; and that the proceedings of the court martial had been transmitted o the King."
Eight pages, 8 1/2 by 11 1/2 inches, very nice condition.
