This was one of just a few newspapers which printed: "Confederate States of America" in the dateline.
Pages 2 & 3 have various Civil War reports including: "Insubordination in the 'Grand Army' " "Gov. Sprague, of Rhode Isl., on the War" "Ellsworth's Zouaves" "What is To Be Done With the Prisoners?" "Sketch of the Life of Ben McCullough". Included also is a lengthy letter headed: "Head Quarters, Aquia Creek".
Four pages, nice condition.
