General Clinton's letter on the Loyalists...

Page 3 has reports under the heading: "America" including: "...that the army under the Count de Rochambeau have leveled their works, and quitted their posts at York-Town, Virginia. Also a letter sent too Gov. Franklin, President of the Board of Directors of Associated Loyalists, by Sir Henry Clinton. It is datelined from New York & notes in part: "...give the loyal subjects on this continent who have born arms in support of the Constitution, the strongest assurances that hon post, place or garrison in which the Loyalists are joined with the King's troops should be surrendered on any terms..." with much more, signed in type: H. Clinton.
Four pages, never bound nor trimmed, minor loss to a bit of the blank spine, red tax stamp on the front page, nice condition.
