THE EXAMINER, Louisville, Kentucky, August 25, 1849  A quite scarce newspaper anti-slavery newspaper which lasted but 2 1/2 years, from June, 1847 thru December 9, 1849  Page 2 has much content concerning the recent election and the slavery/anti-slavery issue and candidates. One articles are "The Louisville Journal on Emancipation", "Necessity of the Proviso" and "Law in South Carolina".
Four pages, small binding holes at the blank spine margin, some foxing at the folds, good condition.
