THE LIBERATOR, Boston, Sept. 30, 1864  This is the famous anti-slavery newspaper by famed abolitionist publisher William Lloyd Garrison. The masthead features two engravings, one of a slave auction and the other showing slaves being emancipated.
Among the articles: "A Call For a National Convention of Colored Citizens of the United States" "The Anti-Slavery Movement" "Education of the Freedmen" "The Rebels & Their Northern Allies" and more.
There are also some notable reports on the Civil War including: "McClellan's Speech on Sheridan's Victory" "General Sherman's Reply to General Hood on the Charge of Ungenerous Cruelty" & more.
Four pages, never bound nor trimmed, several folds with small wear at fold junctures, some foxing.
