RICHMOND WHIG AND PUBLIC ADVERTISER, Virginia, Aug. 26, 1862  The front page has an editorial: "The Defensive Policy". There is also the business of the "Confederate Congress" and various war reports, including: "Retreat Of Pope's Army Capture Of A Yankee Guard And Two Locomotives".
Page 2 has an editorial: "The Financial Aspects of the War", plus: "Topics In The Capital" &  "List Of Casualties In The 21st Regiment Virginia Volunteers, Aug. 9, 1862".
Page 2 also has an address from General Floyd "To the People of Western Virginia", signed in type: John B. Floyd, & a report: "Execution Of A Deserter".
The back page has a list of Confederate Officers graduated from West Point.
Four pages, minor address label residue to an upper corner, a few minor archival mends. One of the less common titles from the capital of the Confederacy.
