Near the bottom of the front page is a two column heading: "Dodgers Beat Braves in 12th, 6-5, To Win Pennant Play-Off Series" The top of page 42 has a banner heading: "Dodgers Set Back Braves in 12th Inning and Take Pennant Play-off Series" with subheads, box scores and a few related photos. This was their National League championship & they would go on to win the World Series over the Chicago White Sox, the first championship for the Dodgers since they moved out of Brooklyn the previous year.
Complete with 76 pages, light toning and minor wear at the margins, generally nice.
