* Construction of the Transcontinental Railroad map
A terrific issue on the trans-continental railroad, as closer to half of page 2 is taken up with a large and very detailed map headed: "THE PACIFIC RAILWAYS".
The map shows from Illinois to California and shows the routes of the Union Pacific Railroad and the Central Pacific Railroad and noting the portions complete and in progress of construction.
Much of the balance of page 2 is taken up with extensive reporting on the railroad work. It would be more than two years before the construction would be completed at Promontory Point, Utah.
Eight pages, an old tape repair to the front page does not cause loss of readability to the page 2 text, otherwise good condition.
