STREET & SMITH'S NEW YORK WEEKLY, May 5, 1873  This newspaper but the publishers of dime novels & pulp fiction did much to romanticize the Wild West with stories of fictionalized drama.
This issue features a very large & dramatic front page print which accompanies the story: "Wild Kathleen or, Old Bob, the Prairie Outlaw".
Page 2 has a portion of the serialized story: "A Mate To Buffalo Bill. Texas Jack, The White King of the Pawnees, by Ned Buntline".
Eight pages, generally good condition.
