COLUMBIAN CENTINEL, Boston, Oct. 11, 1797
* Admiral Horatio Nelson
The front page has: "Louis the XVIth".
A report under "Virginia" on pg. 2 provides nice details about the failed British attack of the Spanish port at Santa Cruz de Tenerife in the Canary Islands, a part reading: "...One small party of 50 men commanded by Admiral Nelson, and Capt. Bowen landed on the Mole; the first lost his right arm, and immediately returned on board..." It lists the ships engaged in the expedition.
Four pages, very nice condition.
