October 30, 1909

EVENING TRIBUNE, San Diego, Oct. 30, 1909

* Vanderbilt Cup - automobile racing
* First major car race trophy in America
* American racecar driver Harry Grant

The top of the front page has a three column headline: "VANDERBILT CUP RACE FIASCO; DECLARED OFF" with subheads. (see) Nice for display. Surprisingly this issue is in good condition being from the "wood pulp" era. Very hard to find issues that are not totally fragile from this era in paper.
Complete with 8 pages, two small library stamps within the masthead, some small binding holes long the spine, generally nice.
