THE GENTLEMAN'S MAGAZINE, London, July, 1767  One of the more notable articles is: "Protest Against Repealing the American Stamp Act" which takes over two pages (photos show portions) and provides some fascinating insight into this heated topic.
Also present is: "The Examination of Doctor Benjamin Franklin, Relative to the Repeal of the American Stamp Act in 1767" which is done in question & answer format, and takes over 4 pages (see for portions).
Included is a full page plate but it is called for in the June issue. The plate called for is lacking.
Complete in 52 pages, full title/contents page, 5 1/4 by 8 1/4 inches, very nice condition.

A very nice pre-Revolutionary War magazine from the "mother country" with a wide range of varied content. This was the first periodical to use the word "magazine" in its title, having begun in 1731 and lasting until 1907.
