June 19, 1873
ROCHESTER DEMOCRAT & CHRONICLE, New York, June 19, 1873 The back page has a very historic report on the conviction of Susan B. Anthony for the charge of voting. Noteworthy because her illegal voting happened in Rochester.
The top of a column has: "Conviction of Susan B. Anthony and of the Eighth Ward Inspectors". Near the beginning: "The case of Susan B. Anthony...terminated yesterday in the conviction of the accused...". Included as ell is the report datelined from nearby Canandaigua, where the trial was held. The details report takes 18 column inches.
Page 2 begins with an editorial headed: "FOUND GUILTY !" with interesting commentary.
Four pages, large folio size, nice condition. The folder size noted is for the issue folded in half.
