Fine reporting on Lincoln's first inauguration...

Item # 675992

March 09, 1861

SATURDAY COURANT, Clinton, Massachusetts, March 9, 1861  There are several articles on page 2 which have nice commentary on Abraham Lincoln's first inauguration including a full column editorial headed: "Mr. Lincoln's Address" is a nice analysis. Also: "Mr. Lincoln and His Inaugural" begins: "It is understood that the Address was printed before Mr. Lincoln left Springfield, but it has been subjected to frequent and careful revisions since his arrival at the capital...Mr. Seward highly approved the tone and language of the address, suggesting only a modification of one or two passages..." and more.
Plus there is: "Distinguished Diplomatic Entertainment" with some nice reporting as well.
Four pages, archivally rejoined at the spine, very nice condition.
