FREMONT NEWS-MESSENGER--EXTRA, Ohio, June 6, 1944. The banner headline announces: "ALLIED INVASION STARTS" with subheads: "Troops Attack Germans Near Seine Estuary" "Armadas Of Airplanes, Warships Join With parachute Units".
Also a photo of: "General Dwight D. Eisenhower" headed: "In His Hands", and a nice map showing; "Where Allied Troops Smashed At Hun Defenses".
I believe this is complete as a four page "Extra", as the back leaf still has the date of "June 5" at the top of each page. Pages are not numbered.
Minimal spine wear, very nice condition.
