November 07, 1860

NEW YORK TRIBUNE, Nov. 7, 1860  The entire front page is taken up with ads as was the format of this newspaper for many years.
Page 4 has early returns on the Presidential election, with column heads: "Election In The City" "Nearly 100,000 Votes Polled" "Republican Vote Doubled" "All the Gain on the Side of Freedom" "Full Returns" with a lengthy chart of the "Voters for President by Districts" followed by much speculative text on the election.
Page 4 also has a somewhat small report, with a state-by-state chart, headed: "The Great Result" "Lincoln Elected".
Page 5 has: "The Election at the Home of Mr. Lincoln" taking close to half a column. Page 7 has: "Abraham Lincoln At Home".
Eight pages, archivally rejoined at the spine, various archival mends near the margins, some damp staining, bit close-trimmed at the bottom of pages 3 and 4.
