GLEASON'S PICTORIAL, Boston, Feb. 18, 1854  This was one of the few illustrated newspapers of that time as the famed Harper's Weekly didn't start until 1857.
Perhaps the best prints of of early fine engines: "Hope Hose Carriage, of Philadelphia, at the Crystal Palace" and: "Representation of Fire Engine No. 38, of New York City".
Other prints include: "Illustration of a Valentine - 14th of February"; a few illustrations of the telegraph at the Crystal Palace;  "Ruins of the Church of El Alamo" along with prints of 3 other missions near San Antonio; "Ice cutting at Spy Pond, West Cambridge, Massachusetts" "Granite Palatial Store of Messrs. Cope & Co., Market Street, Philadelphia" and more.
Sixteen pages, various foxing & light dirtiness, otherwise good.
