Page 2 has: "By authentic advices from Charlestown [Charleston]...we are informed that preparations were making with the utmost diligence for the evacuation of this valuable possession. Thousands of the inhabitants were packing up their goods & conveying their negroes to Jamaica...All hopes of a countermand having entirely vanished, the Loyalists were reduced to a situation too shocking for description..." and from New York: "...every thing was in the greatest confusion imaginable, the inhabitants being in daily expectation of receiving orders to evacuate the place...".
Eight pages, 8 1/4 by 11 1/4 inches, nice condition.
