THE LONDON CHRONICLE, England, June 12, 1766 

* Repeal of the Stamp Act celebration

Page 2 has a report on the "Ascot Races", one of the more renowned horse races in the world. Another report is on the East India Company which talks in part about the tea trade. The back page has a note that: "A letter from New York...says that a solemn thanksgiving had been appointed to be held throughout the whole province on account of the repeal of the Stamp Act & that it was expected all the British colonies would follow the example."
Eight pages, 8 1/2 by 11 inches, very nice condition.
