SATURDAY EVENING POST, Philadelphia, June 7, 1862 The front page features a print of: "Desperate Engagement, April 24th, between the U.S. Gunboat Varuna, Commander Boggs, and the rebel Steam Ram J.C. Breckinridge - AND THE REBEL GUNBOAT GOVERNOR MOORE", with descriptive text. The back page contains a print of a young Newsie selling a paper to a gentleman.
Complete in four pages, rubbing on the mid-fold (with minor loss), but otherwise good. The issue was once folded in quarters which and has some browning along the folds. See images for details.
