THE LONDON CHRONICLE, England, Nov. 6, 1783 As stated in Wikipedia: "Tyburn was a village in... present-day London... For many centuries, the name Tyburn was synonymous with capital punishment, it having been the principal place for execution of London criminals and convicted traitors, including many religious martyrs. It was also known as 'God's Tribunal', in the 18th century."
PAGE 3 has a nice article regarding: "The mode of taking criminals to Tyburn, and of executing them there...", which is quite interesting.
