The top of the back page has a notable report: "The Death of Stonewall Jackson - Letter and Order From Gen. Lee". Included are two dispatches each signed by: R. E. Lee, the first concerning Jackson being wounded (by friendly fire at the battle of Chancellorsville), and the other of a week later announcing Jackson's death.
Also on the bkpg: "Interesting Slave Case in Washington". Much Civil War reporting on the inside pages.
