Inside has: "Removal of the Indians" beginning: "The following is a copy of the bill providing for the removal of the Indians, as it was passed by the senate recently..." followed by all 8 sections of the bill.
This very controversial Indian Removal Act would be signed by President Andrew Jackson on May 28, 1830 authorizing the President to negotiate with southern Indian tribes for their removal to federal territory west of the Mississippi River in exchange for their lands. It would lead to the "Trail of Tears" some years later.
Sixteen pages, 6 by 9 1/4 inches, very nice condition.

As noted in Wikipedia, this title: "...(was) one of the most widely-circulated magazines in the United States...Devoted primarily to politics...considered an important source for the history of the period."
