Page 3 has a very historic document, the Proclamation of the American Congress formally ratifying the Treaty of Paris ending the Revolutionary War.
It is headed: "American News--By the United States in Congress...A PROCLAMATION" with the full text of the document, including: "...bearing date this 14th day of January, 1784, approve, ratify, and confirm the same, and every part ad clause thereof, engaging & promising that we would sincerely & faithfully perform & observe the same and never suffer them to be violated by any one..." with much more.
By this document the Revolutionary War is officially ended. From this date forward January 14 would become celebrated as Ratification Day.
Eight pages, 8 1/2 by 11 12 inches, nice condition.
