The front page is a print: "The Brooklyn Horror! with the caption beginning: "The merciless trolley car has added another victim to its list of massacred innocents...".
A terrific baseball connection as the Major League team from Brooklyn first began using the nickname: "Trolley Dodgers" in 1895. This name implies the dangers posed by trolley cars in Brooklyn generally, which in 1892 began the switch from horse-power to electrical power making them much faster hence deemed more dangerous. The name was later shortened to Brooklyn Dodgers.
Of added baseball interest are two baseball photos on page 2, and the full back page taken up with 5 baseball photos captioned: "Opening Of The Baseball Season In New York - Scenes at the First Game for the Championship Between the Brooklyn and New York Teams."
Complete in 20 pages, black staining to a portion of the front page margins, some minor margin tears & light soiling at the edges, generally good.
