NILES' WEEKLY REGISTER, Baltimore, Dec. 3, 1836

* Texas Revolution
* War of Independence
* Mexican - Santa Anna

The ftpg. has most of a column taken up with the latest reports from: "Texas" which includes: "...discussion on the liberation of gen. Santa Ana had taken place  in congress, but it was resolved, by a large majority, to retain him as a prisoner for some time to come..." and then also: "Santa Ana & Almonte had been relieved of their irons...The individuals who attempted the release of Santa Ana were still prisoners at Velasco...a division of the Mexican army left Mexico for the invasion of Texas...Tranquillity and a patriotic resolution to put down the Texian rebels are said to reign in Mexico..." and much more.
Sixteen pages, 9 by 12 3/4 inches, never bound nor trimmed so it still folds our to one large sheet (rarely found as such), foxing at folds and a bit of fraying at the untrimmed margins.

As noted in Wikipedia, this title: "...(was) one of the most widely-circulated magazines in the United States...Devoted primarily to politics...considered an important source for the history of the period."
