THE SUN, New York, Dec. 24, 1879

* Inventor Thomas Edison
* Electric light bulb
* Menlo Park

The ftpg. begins with a great article, taking over a full column, headed: "EDISON'S LAMP YET BURNING" "The Inventor's Calculation that this is Equivalent to Ordinary Family Use for 24 Days--How the Electricity Is Obtained, and How it is to be Distributed by Wires".
This is a wonderful article on Thomas Edison's electric lamp, Edison has quotes in this article, as he defends the success of his new invention, particularly against the criticism of William Sawyer.
A great article on one of the inventions that would change the way people would live.
Four pages, some archival mends inside, some margin tears generally nice condition.
