Page 3 has a great article headed: "Interesting Account Of How the Gold Was Discovered in California". This is an interesting article, prefaced with: "...We extract the account they received from Capt. Sutter, the owner of the mill, of the incidents of the discovery:..." followed by the details on how the gold was discovered.
Four pages of very large size paper measuring 25 by 33 inches, folded three times, some wear at the folds, and minor loss to an upper corner affects no text. Folder size noted is for the issue folded in half.
