EVENING TRIBUNE, San Diego, California A complete set of 6 issues reporting on all 6 games of the 1906 Major League Baseball World Series. The newspapers dated October 9 thru 15, 1908 (no newspaper on Sunday).
As the photos show each issue has a front page report on the games between the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago White Sox, save for the final game which curiously was reported in detail on page 2.
The White Sox "hitless wonders" would win the Series, considered onE of the greatest upsets in World Series history.
Each issue is complete, mostly 8 pages, library stamp at the top of each ftpg., still bound together, in great condition.
