THE EVENING TRIBUNE, San Diego, California, Aug. 1, 1911

* 1st woman aviator - airplanes
* Harriet Quimby gets license
* Early same day historic report

Th top of the front page has column heads including the famed aviator Harriet Quimby, with: "PILOT'S LICENSES GIVEN WOMAN AVIATOR BY AERO CLUB" "Miss Harriet Quimby Fulfills All Conditions Imposed by Several Fine Flights This Morning" "First American Woman To Be Given License".
 The following year she became the first woman to fly across the English Channel. Although Quimby lived only to the age of 37, she influenced the role of women in aviation.
Complete in ten pages, library stamp in the masthead, disbinding indents at the blank spine, generally very nice.
