March 06, 1861

NEW YORK DAILY TRIBUNE, March 6, 1861

* Abraham Lincoln inauguration
* New administration takes over
* Pre-Civil War tensions escalate

A wealth of fine content on Lincoln & his new administration, as his inaugural was reported in the previous day's edition.
Inside has a lengthy editorial headed: "Mr. Lincoln's Address", a report from Washington beginning: "The agony is over, and Lincoln's Cabinet is formed..." with much more.
Also: "The Inauguration" "President Lincoln's Inaugural--Opinions of the Press" "The Pro-Slavery Rebellion" "Reception of the Inauguration" is a lengthy account of the comments from various cities throughout the country.
Eight pages, water staining to most of the issue but causing no loss of readability. Otherwise good condition.
