NEW YORK HERALD, Feb. 26, 1862  The front page is dominated by a large Civil War map headed: "THE RAILROAD ARTERIES OF THE SOUTH - The Unfinished Inside Track of Jeff. Davis--the Proposed Connection Between Danville, Virginia and Greenboro, N. Carolina and Between Selma, Alabama and Meridan, Mississippi".
Also a map on page 3: "The Siege of Savannah" with related reports.
Ftpg. column heads include: "Ferocity of the Rebel Press" "Jeff. Davis Wants More Troops" "Great Demand for Substitutes in the Rebel Army" "Beauregard at Columbus, Ky." and more.
Twelve pages, water stain to the upper right, good condition.
