THE PORT FOLIO, Philadelphia, a lot of seven issues from vol. one, 1801  Edited by Joseph Dennie under the pseudonym "Oliver Oldschool" and Asbury Dickins, it espoused republican values and was the first important political & literary journal in the United States.
Each has a wide variety of content but an emphasis on literary items. Two issues have on the ftpg. one of the series of "Journal of a Tour Through Selesia" written by John Quincy Adams.
Each complete in 8 pages, 9 3/4 by 12 inches, a bit irregular at the blank spine, good condition.
