This issue has content relating to the Whiskey Rebellion in Western Pennsylvania.
This was a tax protest by farmers who sold their grain in the form of whiskey. The Whiskey Rebellion demonstrated that the new national government had the willingness and ability to suppress violent resistance to its laws.
The front page has an interesting: "Eulogy On Whisky" and page 2 has an item headed "Pennsylvania" which reports on the Whiskey Rebellion, and page 3 has: "The Pittsburgh Insurgents" which is a brief item.
A page 2 item notes: "The frigates now building in the United States will unquestionably be clothed with the duck of the manufactory in this town...the ocean will soon be whitened with the product of our looms."
Four pages, irregular with minor loss at the spine not close to noted content, otherwise good.
