Among the articles is: "Antidote Against Paine's Irreligious Tenets" which begins: "Thomas Paine, that Apostle of sedition, after attempting, in vain, to overset our happy Constitution, has now, from the depth of his dungeon at Paris, sent forth an attack on our religion..." with much more on his "The Age of Reason" (see).  Also: "Reasons for Dr. Priestley's Leaving this Country" and an interesting letter from 1792 concerning Botany Bay (Australia), reporting on the growth of the population there "...almost five years from the first settlement...".
Included are all 3 plates called for.
Complete in 96 pages, 5 by 8 inches, full title/contents page with an engraving of St. John's Gate, great condition.

This was the first periodical to use the word "magazine" in its title, having begun in 1731 and lasting until 1907.
