BLACK HILLS DAILY TIMES, Deadwood, Dakota, Sept. 5, 1886
* Rare publication
* Famous wild West town
* "Wild Bill" Hickok fame
This city would arguably be--along with Tombstone & Dodge City--one of the more famous of all the towns from the rough & tumble days of the Old West, and only rarely do such issues come to light. This is the first of this title we have offered in 15 years.
This issue is from the "heyday" of the Wild West. Some of the most celebrated names of the Old West passed through Deadwood, not the least of whom was "Wild Bill" Hickock, who was famously murdered in this town ten years previous.
Six pages with various news tidbits throughout and a wealth of ads, most with a decidedly "western" theme. Some minor tears at margins, generally good condition.
