A half column is taken up with an: "Extract from a Letter by a Female Indian in America, to the Ladies of New York" from 1754.
Inside has over 5 pages taken up with a continued & detailed account of the latest from Revolutionary War headed: "The Rise and Progress of the Present Unhappy War in America". Some fine war reporting with content on the Siege of Savannah, events at Stoney Point, New York, an item noting: "...should now turn our attention to the important transactions in the provinces of Georgia and Carolina...general Prevost, having received information that the rebel general Lincoln...had marched with the best part of the troops towards  Augusta with a design to penetrate into Georgia..."; items on the arrival of General D'Estaing's French fleet on the coast of  N. America, and so much more.
Further on is a report  noting: "...they confirm the report of the entire loss of the Quebec fleet, that the Americans are in possession of West Point and Sandy Hook; that the greatest cordiality prevails between the French and Americans...the marquis de la Fayette is very strong at Rhode Island..." and even more.
The plates called for are lacking.
Complete in 56 pages, 5 by 8 1/2 inches, full title/contents page, masking tape at the spine, light damp staining near some margins, good condition.
