December 18, 1781

THE LONDON CHRONICLE, England, Dec. 18, 1781  The entire front page is a very interesting: "Letter IV To the People of Great Britain" concerning the Revolutionary War, reflecting upon the history of it and the consequences of many of the noteworthy battles.
Page 2 has a report noting: "...dispatches from Sir Henry Clinton containing the articles of capitulation at York Town with the subsequent operations of the fleet & army...all the Loyalists who had followed the fortune of the gallant Cornwallis & were captured at York Town were sent...to New York....The following is a list of officers killed & wounded at the siege of York Town, Virginia:..." and what follows is a list.
Another page has reports from the "House of Commons" which includes much discussion of the Revolutionary War, including much on the exchange of prisoners. This report carries over to the next page.
Eight pages, 8 1/2 by 11 1/2 inches, nice condition.
