BOSTON EVENING TRANSCRIPT, Aug. 5, 1892

* Lizzie Borden murder trial

The front page has nearly a full column taken up with reports concerning the infamous Lizzie Borden murder case. Column heads: "NEITHER MOTIVE NOR CLEW" "Murderer of the Bordens Leaves No Trace" "Fall River Police Working in the Dark".
The detailed text is great, and is quite early in the investigative stage. One bit notes that: "...A reward of 5,000 is offered today by the Misses Emma and Lizzie Borden for the conviction of the murderers...".
Nice to have the Borden content in a newspaper close to Fall River.
Complete in 8 pages, a bit irregular at the spine margin, nice condition.
