NEW YORK TRIBUNE, July 26, 1861

* First Battle of Bull Run - Manassas VA Virginia
* 1st major battle of the American Civil War

Page 4 has a nice stack of one column headlines on the first Battle of Bull Run, including: "THE WAR FOR THE UNION" "Johnston Gone to Attack Gen. Banks" "The Enemy's Loss Very Heavy" "Queer Report About Beauregard" "Fiendish Atrocities of the Rebels" "Incidents of Bull Run Battle" and more. The text takes over a full column of pg. 4 and most of page 5.
Page 6 has: "THE WAR FOR THE UNION" "The Battle of Bull Run" with the text taking entire pg. & half of pg. 7, and page 6 also has a nice map headed: "The Battle Field" which shows much detail in the vicinity of the battle.
This issue has perhaps the most detailed account of this historic battle to be found in a single newspaper.
Eight pages, nice condition.
