Page 2 contains the: "Vice-President's Speech" which is prefaced with: "On Saturday morning the Senate of the United States, being convened, THOMAS JEFFERSON was sworn in as Vice-President of the United States and President of the Senate. On which he address the Senate as follows..." and what follows is his inaugural address.
This is followed by: "The President's Speech" with a prefacing paragraph which includes in part: "...About 12 GEORGE WASHINGTON entered, but before he had half crossed the floor, a thunder of applause burst forth from every quarter of house--on the entrance of JOHN ADAMS..." with more. This is followed by the complete inaugural address of John Adams. Neither speech is signed.
Also included is the report beginning: "The Chief Justice then administered the oaths of office to the President, who repeated them with energy. Soon after he, the Vice President and George Washington retired & were escorted to their respective homes amidst the roar of artillery..." and more.
Complete in 4 pages, a few ink stains not affecting noted content, nice condition.
