Page 2 has a quite small, inconspicuous item noting: "Col. Davy Crocket [Crockett], in a letter to the editors of the National Intelligencer denies the authenticity of the book lately published, purporting to be his memoirs, and says that he is now writing his own life & adventures, which will probably be in print before the termination of the present session of Congress."
Four pages, minor margin tears, good condition.
