* John Adams as president elect

Page 3 has  report concerning John Adams leaving his position of Vice President to assume the Presidency, noting: "On Wednesday, the Vice President, in a very affectionate address, took leave of the Senate of the United States and resigned the chair. He was very much affected on the occasion & the emotion of the Senate was not less visible...May his future administration be as unexceptionable as his conduct during the period he has presided over the Senate."
Four pages, wide never-trimmed margins, very nice condition.
